DJ Seven (Toronto): “JustRight to me is…”
Taken from DJ Seven’s Blog….
What is The Just Right Project to me?
It’s more than just music, an event, or a fundraiser, it’s a chance for us to get together as a community and make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate families out in the world. When my good friend Jay-P and Mark Modesto told me about The Just Right Project, I was moved by it and I knew I wanted to be involved somehow, I wanted to help with whatever I can.
The goal of the Just Right Project is to build homes for the less fortunate families living in the harsh conditions in the Philippines. This is done by raising awareness and putting together a series of fundraisers where all the proceeds go to the ANCOP Foundation. It costs $2,300 to build a family a long standing home that is passed on from generation to generation. The beneficiaries of the homes are families described to be the poorest of the poor, most with five or more family members. Third Floor Network along with DJ Jay-P launched the Just Right Project to aid in raising awareness and money for the cause.
After a few discussions with Jay-P and Mark Modesto, we have decided to put together a fundraiser here in Toronto and allow everyone the opportunity to help the cause. It would be nice for us people in the Toronto/GTA area to come together and build a home for a family that really needs it. So after all the discussions, we have put together the Just Right Project: Toronto happening this Thursday April 21st, inside Blondies. The atmosphere will definitely be great for the night. DJ Jay-P will be coming in from Los Angeles to provide the music for the night along with myself. It would be nice to have everyone come out, support the cause and hang out to good music with good people.
The minimum donation for the event is $10, and all the proceeds will be donated to the ANCOP Foundation. And when November comes around, Jay-P, Mark, and I, will be heading to the Philippines to help build these homes that you all help put together. So let’s all save the extra $10 we are going to spend on something meaningless and let’s make a change in the world!

Jaymar Cabebe: “JustRight to me is…”
“To me, JustRight = good people using incredible talents to tackle meaningful problems. In general, I subscribe to the idea of coming together to pay our blessings forward, so when there came the opportunity to support JP and the rest of the crew, I was all in, no question.” -Jaymar Cabebe
Our good friend Jaymar is quite a funny guy. If you want a good laugh check out TouchBlue.net and keep up with him at JaymarCabebe.com. Here’s one of my favorite videos, an oldie but goodie…..
Christine Chao: “JustRight to me is…”
I remember thinking to myself, “This summer heat is unbearable and even with all the windows and doors wide open, you still feel as if your home is a sauna … and it’s as if you’re almost unappreciative that your house cannot block or protect you from this heat.”
And to the other extreme: I know of several people who have complained because their homes have had minor floods within them after a rainstorm. Of course, that can always be easily resolved.
To me, JustRight means that your perception of how you live needs to change. I ask you: For those families living in harsh conditions with no homes, especially in the Philippines, do you think they would complain about the air conditioning not working well enough during the summer heat?
Or do you think they would care if they had a home and a roof over their heads, but they had a slight flood in the house and yet their beds were dry and they were able to get a good night’s sleep because they weren’t lying around out on the streets?
JustRight = An opportunity to appreciate what you have in life and carry forward that appreciation to the less fortunate.
JustRight Engagement: Congratulations Vince and Steph!
Meet one of my best friends and business partner Vincent Valenzona and his girlfriend Stephanie Ofiana. Vince, a well-respected chef in the culinary industry is the chef at Ocean Avenue Seafood in Santa Monica, California. Steph is a Manager of Client Services at OneStop Internet, a company who manages internet presence for dozens of clothing brands including 7 for Mankind, True Religion, RVCA, to name a few. Vince and Steph are currently on vacation in the Philippines and are helping promote the JustRight CD and Project to our friends there.
Today I got a message from Vince saying “Time for a bachelor party, we are getting married!” Yes, he did it! Vince proposed to Steph a couple of days ago while watching the sunset on the beach in Boracay. Vince asked steph to write something in the sand and Steph wrote “something.” Then, he just said to write their names, so she did and took a picture of it. Then Vince told Steph he had an early anniversary present (their 4 year anniversary is on March 7). This is when he pulled out the ring and asked Steph if she would marry him. Of course she said Yes. Steph told me that “It was just us two, alone on the beach. I couldn’t have asked for it to happen any differently.”
Congratulations Vince and Steph on your engagement! I am very happy for the both of you and cannot wait to be there for the wedding and hopefully be a Ninong one day =)
Here’s Vince and Steph and that big ring promoting the JustRight CD/Project in Makati.

Kayla Vargas & Nina Salgado: “JustRight to me is…”

“Loving what you do… and doing what you love.” -Kayla Vargas

Definitely want to thank Ms. Vargas for her generous donations and sponsoring Team RunRight. Her contribution will help change lives, just like what this lady does for her career. She saves lives and loves being there for her patients as a Registered Nurse at USC University Hospital, Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit.
Alongside with her continuous support in helping raise awareness is Nina Salgado, Account Coordinator at Brand Building Communications, Beverly Hills. With an extremely demanding work schedule, but loving every second of it, exudes out of Ms. Salgado, that what you do is truely complimentary to everything around you.
Their amazing drive keeps me driven and I am very appreciative and just blessed to have them a part of the JustRight project… and my life! Love these women!

Aldo Sibal: “JustRight to me is…”
“… It doesn’t matter how long you haven’t seen a true friend because when you do see them, everything is JustRight.” -Aldo Sibal

I am a big believer of surrounding yourself and always reconnecting as much as possible with positive and good people to help motivate you, keep you driven and just simply happy.
They wouldn’t be considered just people, they would be the definition of friendship.
Finally had an overdue and over-consumption of all-u-can-eat korean bbq dinner the other night with an individual who I have the upmost respect for because of his love for life and down to earth attitude. He had open ears and an open heart about the JustRight Project and is definitely on board to raise awareness.
Thank you Aldo for your support and I appreciate you so much as my bestfriend! I cannot wait until our big trip to the motherland, Philippines.

Such amazing work that the Couples for Christ and ANCOP Organizations have done for years. While we are dollars away from reaching our goal of donations for our JustRight Project at www.firstgiving.com/justright of at least the cost of the building of one home at $2300.00, we wanted to share their pictures again of the previous villages they have built. The Aytona Village groundbreaking (start of construction will begin in March.)

…”about contribution, compassion, and expression of God’s kindness onto those in need. Although many of us have been fortunate enough to not endure such hardships, we can only imagine how life would be without basic living essentials. The JustRight Project not only raises awareness, but also unites people with the common intent to help others less fortunate, and I’m happy to be even just a small part of it.”
