Jaymar Cabebe: “JustRight to me is…”
“To me, JustRight = good people using incredible talents to tackle meaningful problems. In general, I subscribe to the idea of coming together to pay our blessings forward, so when there came the opportunity to support JP and the rest of the crew, I was all in, no question.” -Jaymar Cabebe
Our good friend Jaymar is quite a funny guy. If you want a good laugh check out TouchBlue.net and keep up with him at JaymarCabebe.com. Here’s one of my favorite videos, an oldie but goodie…..

JustRight Engagement: Congratulations Vince and Steph!
Meet one of my best friends and business partner Vincent Valenzona and his girlfriend Stephanie Ofiana. Vince, a well-respected chef in the culinary industry is the chef at Ocean Avenue Seafood in Santa Monica, California. Steph is a Manager of Client Services at OneStop Internet, a company who manages internet presence for dozens of clothing brands including 7 for Mankind, True Religion, RVCA, to name a few. Vince and Steph are currently on vacation in the Philippines and are helping promote the JustRight CD and Project to our friends there.
Today I got a message from Vince saying “Time for a bachelor party, we are getting married!” Yes, he did it! Vince proposed to Steph a couple of days ago while watching the sunset on the beach in Boracay. Vince asked steph to write something in the sand and Steph wrote “something.” Then, he just said to write their names, so she did and took a picture of it. Then Vince told Steph he had an early anniversary present (their 4 year anniversary is on March 7). This is when he pulled out the ring and asked Steph if she would marry him. Of course she said Yes. Steph told me that “It was just us two, alone on the beach. I couldn’t have asked for it to happen any differently.”
Congratulations Vince and Steph on your engagement! I am very happy for the both of you and cannot wait to be there for the wedding and hopefully be a Ninong one day =)
Here’s Vince and Steph and that big ring promoting the JustRight CD/Project in Makati.

Kayla Vargas & Nina Salgado: “JustRight to me is…”

“Loving what you do… and doing what you love.” -Kayla Vargas

Definitely want to thank Ms. Vargas for her generous donations and sponsoring Team RunRight. Her contribution will help change lives, just like what this lady does for her career. She saves lives and loves being there for her patients as a Registered Nurse at USC University Hospital, Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit.
Alongside with her continuous support in helping raise awareness is Nina Salgado, Account Coordinator at Brand Building Communications, Beverly Hills. With an extremely demanding work schedule, but loving every second of it, exudes out of Ms. Salgado, that what you do is truely complimentary to everything around you.
Their amazing drive keeps me driven and I am very appreciative and just blessed to have them a part of the JustRight project… and my life! Love these women!
Eric Uaje: “JustRight to me is…”

“… Knowing which friends are “just for professional use.”
Mr. Eric Uaje is a very busy guy, with a full-time schedule: he is either at work as Strategic Growth and Market Planning Analyst at Epson, studying to get his Masters in Business Administration at USC, or you’ll see him at 24Hr Fitness Gym getting a workout in between hours! He means business all the time! And is the JustRight friend to talk to about aspirations and goals. I am not trying to brag about the guy, but I am just so proud of him and very appreciative of his generous donation that will change lives and help build homes for the less fortunate in the Philippines, and also for sponsoring myself, Chrystal for Team RunRight during the HB Surf City Marathon!
Eric Samson: “JustRight to me is…”

Janet Huynh: “JustRight to me is…
….beautiful people making sure everyone has a place to call home.”

Thanks to one of our favorite people in the Myspace office, Janet Huynh for donating to our cause. So happy to get the support from people you respect on your team.
Thank you Tita Ofie! We have now gone beyond our goal!
Thanks to my Tita Ofie/Uncle Mike and other recent donations we have recently crossed the line of generating at least $2300.00 for one home in the Aytona Village!

It means alot to us to get support from our Alba family who were born and raised in the Philippines like our Tita Ofie- Ofelia Russell. Like many of your families, my aunts, uncles, mom and grandparents have worked hard to create a great life in the United States while still giving back to where they were born and raised. We admire their hard work and hope to create a new generation that is not only aware of their current surroundings but those on the otherside of the world where their roots lie as well.

Amy Reodico Vo: “JustRight to me is…
…that perfect scoop of ice cream!”

Thank you to newlyweds, Amy & Tu for their generous donation! They recently returned from an amazing trip in Thailand, enjoying the ocean as newly certified scuba divers.
When I look for an example of a great relationship evolving into a fun marriage that I look to duplicate - they are some of the first I turn to. Amy has been a constant shoulder in every good time and bad time in my life and I'm beyond lucky to call her my best friend. Constant "Sunshine" anytime myself or any of our Walnut Girls need it! Can't wait to put her in a bright yellow bridesmaid dress one day. =)

Lindsay Tredent: “JustRight to me is…”
…beautiful people supporting a wonderful cause…”

Lindsay Tredent aka LTSurf, aka my work BFF is the Director of Product Marketing at Myspace Music.
She is the most athletic person I know and is very inspiring with her tweets that I read from my bed on a Saturday afternoon: “just ran 15 miles, about to go swimming after we snowboard this afternoon.”
I admire all her hard work inside and outside of the office and hope to be more like her when I grow up.
Visit her at www.myspace.com/ltsurf
Thank you so much for your continued donations, we’re getting sooo close to our goals at

Coincidence of HW&W Recordings/oakleyandallen: “JustRight to me is…”
“JustRight is jazz on a Monday evening. JustRight is love in its purest form. JustRight is change in its finest hour. JustRight feels just right.” -Coincidence

If you don’t know… get to know.
“I’m Coincidence. I rap & occasionally make a beat.
Born a Knicks fan, raised a UCLA fan..I live to read the Sports page, jot notes in my Moleskine, and enjoy my daily 2 cups of cofee, black…none of that shit B drinks.
Woody Allen is my spirit animal. David Halberstam is my mentor. Charles Oakely is my doppelganger.
Musically, I’m a kid from the “boom bap” generation, when it was just about dope raps over doper beats. I grew up dubbing DJ Revolution’s sets on the Wake Up Show and memorizing Ras Kass freestyles. I dunno if there’s anything I feel more than a Cam’ron verse or a track from…
I currently blog about basketball shenanigans and help out with some NBA stuff in the PDX.
That’s about it.”
This very modest kind soul (and I am not just saying this because he is my best friend of 15 years) but I can proudly say that I am fortunate to see this individual evolve as a talented musician, CEO/founder of HW&W Recordings, producer known as Pete&Pete and phenomenal sports journalist on his known sports blog dedicated to 90′s athleticism on oakelyandallen.
Thank you very much Coincidence on your generous donation and blessing our ears with a beat made just for the JustRight Project.

Vy Nguyen: “JustRight to me is…”
“Being a part of this amazing generation feels JustRight to me. The young people of our generation are realizing that we are the future and are taking things into their own hands to better the world. Little by little, we are doing what is JustRight for each other. Today’s technology has made it possible for a single idea to grow like a wild fire. Success and a brighter future are at our finger tips… and its up to us to make it JustRight!!!”

Vy is the owner and designer of Lolli Beach Candy swim/beach wear. This young entrepreneur is always involved in shows that involve helping those in need. Ladies, summer is just around the corner so make sure to visit the website for your swimwear needs.. Or in Vy’s words “Swimmies.”

Christina Cueson: “JustRight to me is…”
…”about contribution, compassion, and expression of God’s kindness onto those in need. Although many of us have been fortunate enough to not endure such hardships, we can only imagine how life would be without basic living essentials. The JustRight Project not only raises awareness, but also unites people with the common intent to help others less fortunate, and I’m happy to be even just a small part of it.”

Maricel Sison: “JustRight to me is…”

Monique Magbuhos: “JustRight to me is…”
“JustRight to me is about helping the less fortunate. Everyday it’s easy to take things for granted, but each day I’m thankful for what I have, and it makes me realize that there are people out there that are going through a lot and need help. I’m more than happy and willing to do my part.” -Monique Magbuhos
Lawrence and Sophie: “JustRight to me is…”
“Being blessed enough to have a roof over our heads is often taken for granted. Given this opportunity to help our own people who live in poverty gives us the chance to bless them with a home of their own… Feels JustRight!!” -Law and OP

Serei Prak: “JustRight to me is…”
“JustRight to me means looking beyond boundaries and coming to unity to uplift and change the lives of the less fortunate.” -Serei Prak
Tricia Jamanila: “JustRight to me is…”
“The importance of JustRight for me is twofold. First, the artists that I manage are featured on DJ Jay-P’s anticipated mixtape. Hip hop band, Rhythm Natives, have an original track on the mix and R&B singer, Christine Alane, does a cover song for the mix. To have my mutually exclusive artists be together on one project is very rewarding. Second, JustRight has a philanthropic element that brings me back to earth. It keeps me aware of my own blessings and to not sweat the small stuff because there are people out there going through so much more. And JustRight reminds me that there are no geographic barriers that separate me from them – I can easily help those in need.”
Tricia Jamanila, is the owner of Chicharon Adventures and Rick & Ray Creative Management. You can find this super-entrepreneur all over Los Angeles promoting artists Rhythm Natives and Christine Alane. She is definitely a trendsetter to follow. Keep up with her at Chicharon Adventures !
Desiree Acosta Magno: “JustRight to me is…”
When my 4year old daughter heard on the news that people had lost their homes due to fires, she turns to me and says… “it’s ok.. we can bring them sleeping bags because they’re homeless right mommy??” and I respond proudly. “Yes baby, that’s JustRight!” – says Des, mother of 2 amazing daughters Nyomi and Shyla (pictured below).

Desiree Magno, is one of the most positive, friendly people I’ve ever met in my life. She lights up a room with just her smile and sense of humor that doesn’t skip a beat.
Together with her husband, Marvin – they created the Annual Warmth Drive over 5 years ago which provided those less fortunate on the streets of downtown LA with scarves, blankets, gloves
& more during the holiday season.

They are constantly donating their time to projects like the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count and Gobble Gobble Give. The best part? Their kids are growing up in the midst of their generosity and learning at a young age how to be helpful & compassionate to the world around us as you can see from the quote above. It’s refreshing to watch a family that was “destined” to be together over the course of the years continue to grow and inspire those around them.

Des along with her best friends also created “Baby Boogaloo” – a series of events in Hollywood for young parents and their children. The environment was filled with good people, good music and fun games for everyone. I’m blessed to have the Magno family as close friends and appreciate their generous donation at www.itsjustright.org To learn more about their events and drives please email warmthdrive@gmail.com
